Seek And You Will Find

Often you do not find what you want because you are not looking.  If you are not seeking enlightenment you will not be enlightened. If you are not actively seeking success you will not be successful.  Seek and you will find applies to every aspect of our life.

I am looking for answers and when I need them the most they are showing up.  I needed $2400 to pay the rent this month. OH, my total rent is $3050 a month between our warehouse and home.  I was WAY behind and the last of my rent is due on the 7th of each month.

Suddenly the things I always had available to me were THERE.  HUH?  I sell on Ebay as my full time living.  I have inventory and personal things that are stored here in our warehouse. I see them, I know about them, but often I cannot see the forest for the trees.  I know things are here, but I cannot figure out what will sell quickly to make immediate RESCUE ME cash.

My inventory is primarily obsolete computers and obsolete test equipment.  I have a lot of personal stuff from my parent estate.

I never know what to sell to consistently make a good living. I am always struggling.  However, when I really have to make the money it happens.

So how does this apply to my $10,000 challenge?  It has been pretty much on hold for the active part of it.  The DOING part is not being done.  I am still up between 4 and 6 a.m.  working on the plans and typing up notes.

I am having a difficult time getting going.  Our day officially starts at 5:00 when the alarm goes off and ends at 10:00 or later, bed time.  We are at the warehouse from about 7:15 a.m. until 9:00 p.m.  We do not watch TV.

I think I may be resisting this challenge because I think I do not have time.  I could make time.

Ideas Are NOT Plans

If you are like me, you have a lot of ideas.  Maybe you have them written down and have what you call, "a plan" in place.  OK, talking about me and my $10,000 challenge. I have the ideas.   I have the plans written down.  I have a few targets to aim for.  I AM READY? Or am I? Ideas are not plans. What I have written are ideas, not specific plans

I know the main target, $10,000.  I have written and committed to it. I have the vehicle, internet marketing. It includes Bum Marketing, writing articles (also part of BM), adding webpages to my sites, selecting some products in my PLR files to sell.  Create a "fire sale".  I have all of this written down and READY TO GO.

UH OH!  READY TO GO!  Ready to go and actively creating wealth are two different things.

The problem is I do not have a written commitment to myself.  I do not have a commitment to do a certain amount by Friday.  Well, I do have a commitment. I need to earn $2400 on Ebay in the next 8 days to pay the rent.

This hustle to pay the bills thing gets in the way of my $10,000 challenge, but that is only an excuse.  I could take some time that I schedule during the day to do some small tasks.

Bottom line so far is that I have a plan in my head and partially written down, but I have not put the EXACT plan for this week down on paper.  I do not know what I have to do this week.  I know I have to sell on Ebay to meet the bills, but I do not know what I have to do for my challenge to meet its needs.

I see this regularly in forums. People without direction looking for an answer.  The answer is to JUST DO IT.  A plan helps, but I think people (me/I) spend too much time making plans that are NOT really plans, but are simply ideas.

OK, I can see that this blog is going to be as much about getting a project off of the ground as it is about actually making money.  Maybe the most important part of this challenge is learning to focus and work a plan, not just plan.

I Talk Too Much

OK, I am verbose.  My blog entries are too long. I am going to start making them shorter.

It is the end of the month, mine ends on the 5th for rent purpose.  I am behind in my Ebay sales and must hustle to catch up.

My challenge is suffering.  I am not getting started as quickly as I would like.  I am so busy making a living  I do not  have time to make any money.

Beginning today my wife is getting up at 5 a.m. instead of 6.  I have already been betting up between 4 and 6.  The idea is to get us both up to speed for meeting this $10,000 challenge.

The important part of this challenge is not the money. It is taking a couple who are doing next to nothing in internet marketing and getting them both doing something daily.

So, do not get discouraged for us. Do not think that because I am not posting all of my successes, that I am failing. Far from it.  I am now farther along and more sure of myself than I have been in a long time.
