Working From 4:00 A.M.

How serious am I about this challenge to earn $10,000 in 90 days?  I get up between 4:00 and 6:00 a.m. every morning 7 days a week. Today it was 4:00.  I do not sleep in on weekends.  I use this quiet time in the morning to think and plan. 

This challenge was thrust upon me. I had not planned to make it so soon. I did not HAVE to make this particular challenge, but I was requested to make some challenge.  $10,000 in 90 days is only $111 a day.  It seemed realistic and still seems very achievable. 

I am having difficultly making the time to do internet marketing.  I am behind on my Ebay sales and have to hustle to get the bills paid this month. I am still making excuses.  I need to develop better focus.

Do you get tired of hustling and worrying each month whether your are going to pay your bills on time?  Do you regularly get late payment fees charged against you?  This type of lifestyle gets very old after a while. I know. I live the same way AND it is time for a change.

I told you that I have purchased all kinds of internet marketing programs.  They all have good information and many have outstanding techniques.  I am amazed that the latest one I got that sells for only $47 is the best so far "5 Bucks A Day"  It does not teach you how to do internet marketing. It teaches you how to make use of what you already know about internet marketing. 

The ebook is worth the price, but is adds some bonuses that exceed the value of book.  There are downloads you can use. There is a forum where you can find like minded people to help you with your plans.  There is so much, I have barely scratch the surface of all the Dennis offers.

Are you ready to take you internet marketing to the next level?  You do not have to buy anything.  Just make a commitment to earn some money in the next 90 days.  It could be and extra $100 a month to pay a bill.  BUT it really pays to stretch your imagination a little.  Set a goal that would normally be way beyond your reach, but not so far you cannot believe it. 

Too many people set goals for $1,000,000 this year and have no idea how they will achieve it.  They set $100,000 goals and other than being excited about the prospect of all that money, do not know what to do to earn $10,000 much less $100,000.

Even my goal of $10,000 in 3 months could be too much for some people.  I picked that number because it stretches my imagination and yet could be done if I seriously apply myself.

Join me. Make a commitment to do something.  Spent the time making that dream come true and see what happens. "It is better to shoot an arrow at the moon and hit an eagle that it is to shoot at the eagle and only hit the earth."

OK, a strange thing happened to me yesterday.  We sell used computers and test equipment on Ebay. We have a warehouse full of obsolete equipment. We are a business listed in the yellow pages under SALVAGE.  Since we sell used stuff it was hard to find a place to fit us in. 

Yesterday I got a phone call from a stranger saying they were looking for a salvage yard to pick up a car.  I am courteous to people who regularly call about salvage cars and got to talking and they just wanted someone to take away a running car. 

I thought for a moment and said that I would take it away for them.  It was a running car, currently registered, and not beat up.  I got a free 1984 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme car. They just gave it to me because they are here from 500 miles away to take take care of getting their 92 year old father into an assisted care living center.  They don't have time to do everything so they just wanted the car hauled off. 

This morning I sold the car for $650 to a guy I know in the business next door.  I think it is worth closer to $1000 or more but this is a business friend, so I settled for a quick sale.

When you begin looking for answers, some answers come your way that you do not except and they come from directions you never dreamed of.

Today Starts Week Two Of The Challenge

We are going into my second week of our challenge to earn $10,000 in 90 days. Today starts week two of the challenge I made to myself. So, you ask, "How is it going?" If I continue at this rate I should earn about $500 by April 17. I could lie and say, "I have done everything I planned to and more. Money is pouring in." That is far from the truth. I am still trying to eat the elephant on one big gulp. It is almost overwhelming, BUT........read on. (Yes, I interchange we and I. This is a joint venture for my wife and I but, I am the main IM person)

So far, I have read and reread some of the Bum Marketing materials and other internet marketing ebooks I have or have just received. This is what I always do. "If you do what you've done, you'll get what you've got". I have to quit reading, studying and visiting forums and get down to business.

Maybe I told you that I get up everyday between 4:00 and 6:00 a.m. This is my quiet time the reflect on what I am doing and where I need to go. Today I was up at 3:54 and got busy.

What was different about this morning was that I actually started writing down a DEFINITE plan. I have all sorts of written plans, ideas and ramblings. Today I wrote about specifically what I plan to do in this challenge to meet my financial goal. After a week, I am just starting step one of actually planning how I will do this. I was making a list.

The reason I started getting more specific is because of an e-book I am reading, "5 Bucks A Day" Click to see!. It is a technique to learn to create and follow through on any internet project and earn 5 Bucks A Day doing it. The idea is not to make huge amounts of money on one home run, but to find a project that you can create $5 a day once it gets going. Of course $5 a day is not enough to live on so you repeat the process over and over. "5 Bucks A Day" tells you how to do this with any type of internet marketing you are currently doing.

"5 Bucks A Day" does not teach internet marketing techniques like AdSense or AdWords. It does not teach writing or article marketing, or any other IM technique. It teaches you how to implent these techniques to improve your ability to produce income online. I believe this is one of the best ebooks I have come across. Let me tell you I have a lot of ebooks and internet marketing course. I have John Reese's $999 course, James Martell's Corey Rudls (RIP Corey), Rosalind Gardeners and a lot more major name courses. Let me tell you, getting started is a lot harder than I thought it would be. I have my own business selling on Ebay. I sell used computers and test equipment out of a 6000 square foot warehouse full of obsolete electronics. It is getting hard to make a living doing this. However, the warehouse rent has to be paid each month and Ebay is what I do best, so I have to make a living then worry about internet marketing in my spare time.

Before making this challenge to myself, my time at the warehouse began at between 6:45: a.m. and 7:30 a.m. My day ended at between 7:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. Our usual closing time was closer to 7:30. This is SEVEN DAYS A WEEK. I squeeze internet marketing into that schedule.

Do I work every hour I am at the warehouse? NO! That is a problem too. I need more focus in everything I do. Focus is what I am working on most right now. It has to be mixed with actual IM product creation. If all I do is focus, nothing will happen.

I am seeing more answers to how I am going to accomplish many more of my goals because of this $10,000 challenge than I have without it. My wife and I are talking more about our business plans. We are sharing ideas and even arguing about them a little (not much). We see a need to make our dreams a reality and this challenge is an opportunity to achieve something substantial in our business lives.

How Am I Doing? Eating An Elephant

This process of getting started is a little overwhelming.  As one person wrote me, I have to eat this elephant one bite at a time.  I cannot try to gulp it all down at once.  Break the process down into bite sized pieces, you will never be able to do it all at once.

I am trying to think of all the things I need to get going and instead of getting ONE prime item started I am still just "planning". 

At the same time, it is the middle of the month. My wife and I make our full time living selling on Ebay.  About this time of month we start worrying about paying all the bills and rent by the end of the month.  This slows down other things.

I say it slows things down, but NOT REALLY. It is me and only me that slows things down.  It is all about attitude and knowing what you want and having a plan to get there.

When I make a decision to work I usually get going and go to work.  That happens this time every month when I am falling behind a little. I start hustling and get going. 

I told you I was going to do Bum Marketing as my initial beginning to earning $10,000 in 90 days.  Today I will write 5 Bum Marketing ads.  My stated goal of the day regarding internet marketing. 

My problem is I have too many previously written plans and I have not sat down and written my plans for this challenge. 

Bum Marketing is nothing new. It is just a twist on getting people to a website using articles.  Article marketing has been around for a long time. It is a one highly publicized ways people get traffic to their websites.

It is writing articles, submitting them to article directories and having others publish your article on their site. This does two things. It brings traffic to your website and it creates back links to your site. 

With Bum Marketing the important part is driving traffic to a  webpage that earns you a commission when someone buys a product.

So, today I will write 5 Bum Marketing ads after I do my Ebay sales. 

I need to learn to  juggle this new adventure into internet marketing with my regular life and business.
