Ideas Are NOT Plans
If you are like me, you have a lot of ideas. Maybe you have them written down and have what you call, "a plan" in place. OK, talking about me and my $10,000 challenge. I have the ideas. I have the plans written down. I have a few targets to aim for. I AM READY? Or am I? Ideas are not plans. What I have written are ideas, not specific plans
I know the main target, $10,000. I have written and committed to it. I have the vehicle, internet marketing. It includes Bum Marketing, writing articles (also part of BM), adding webpages to my sites, selecting some products in my PLR files to sell. Create a "fire sale". I have all of this written down and READY TO GO.
UH OH! READY TO GO! Ready to go and actively creating wealth are two different things.
The problem is I do not have a written commitment to myself. I do not have a commitment to do a certain amount by Friday. Well, I do have a commitment. I need to earn $2400 on Ebay in the next 8 days to pay the rent.
This hustle to pay the bills thing gets in the way of my $10,000 challenge, but that is only an excuse. I could take some time that I schedule during the day to do some small tasks.
Bottom line so far is that I have a plan in my head and partially written down, but I have not put the EXACT plan for this week down on paper. I do not know what I have to do this week. I know I have to sell on Ebay to meet the bills, but I do not know what I have to do for my challenge to meet its needs.
I see this regularly in forums. People without direction looking for an answer. The answer is to JUST DO IT. A plan helps, but I think people (me/I) spend too much time making plans that are NOT really plans, but are simply ideas.
OK, I can see that this blog is going to be as much about getting a project off of the ground as it is about actually making money. Maybe the most important part of this challenge is learning to focus and work a plan, not just plan.
